Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct

Article I

Purpose and Scope

I.1 This Code establishes the ethical standards and rules of professional conduct expected of all citizens, officials, and representatives of UNN – United Nurses of Nurusalem, hereinafter referred to as Nurusalem.

I.2 This Code applies to Professional Citizens, Associate Citizens, Student Citizens, Senior Citizens, and all appointed or elected officials operating within Nurusalem.

I.3 Compliance with this Code is mandatory for participation in all institutions, systems, and activities of Nurusalem.


Article II

Core Ethical Principles

II.1 All persons bound by this Code shall act with integrity, honesty, accountability, and professionalism.

II.2 All conduct and decisions shall respect human dignity, cultural diversity, and the values of the nursing profession.

II.3 Service to humanity and the preservation of public trust shall take precedence over personal, financial, or political interests.


Article III

Professional Conduct

III.1 Citizens and officials shall uphold the highest standards of professional behaviour in all activities associated with Nurusalem.

III.2 Misrepresentation of qualifications, credentials, identity, status, or authority is strictly prohibited.

III.3 Abuse of position, title, access, or influence within Nurusalem constitutes a serious ethical violation.


Article IV

Ethical Use of Authority

IV.1 Authority within Nurusalem shall be exercised solely for legitimate professional, institutional, and public-interest purposes.

IV.2 Officials shall not exceed, misuse, or improperly delegate authority entrusted to them.

IV.3 All actions and decisions shall comply with the Charter of Nurusalem, the Constitution of Nurusalem, and all governing policies.


Article V

Conflict of Interest

V.1 Citizens and officials shall avoid situations in which personal interests conflict, or appear to conflict, with the interests of Nurusalem.

V.2 Any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest shall be disclosed in accordance with governing rules.

V.3 Failure to disclose or appropriately manage a conflict of interest constitutes a breach of this Code.


Article VI

Respect, Inclusion, and Conduct

VI.1 Discrimination, harassment, intimidation, coercion, or abuse in any form is prohibited.

VI.2 All interactions shall be conducted with respect, fairness, dignity, and professionalism.

VI.3 Diversity of culture, belief, nationality, background, and perspective shall be respected and protected.


Article VII

Confidentiality and Data Responsibility

VII.1 Confidential information obtained through Nurusalem shall be protected and used only for authorised and lawful purposes.

VII.2 Unauthorised access, disclosure, misuse, or exploitation of data, records, or digital identities is prohibited.

VII.3 Digital platforms, systems, and professional identities shall be used responsibly, ethically, and in accordance with applicable laws and policies.


Article VIII

Compliance and Accountability

VIII.1 All persons bound by this Code shall comply with applicable laws, regulations, and the policies of Nurusalem.

VIII.2 Ignorance of this Code does not exempt any person from ethical responsibility or accountability.

VIII.3 Ethical accountability applies equally to all citizens and officials, regardless of rank, position, or authority.


Article IX

Reporting and Review

IX.1 Ethical concerns, complaints, or suspected violations may be reported through established review and oversight mechanisms.

IX.2 Reports shall be handled fairly, confidentially, and without retaliation against the reporting party.

IX.3 Review and disciplinary processes shall be conducted in accordance with principles of due process, impartiality, and fairness.


Article X

Disciplinary Measures

X.1 Violations of this Code may result in warnings, corrective measures, suspension, removal from office, or revocation of privileges, as defined by governing policy.

X.2 Disciplinary actions shall be proportionate to the severity and impact of the violation.

X.3 Decisions may be subject to review or appeal in accordance with established procedures.


Article XI

Amendment

XI.1 This Code may be amended in accordance with procedures defined by governing rules.

XI.2 All amendments shall remain consistent with the Charter and Constitution of Nurusalem.


Article XII

Adoption and Validity

XII.1 This Code shall enter into force upon adoption by the authorised governing body of Nurusalem.

XII.2 This Code is binding on all persons subject to its scope.
