Nurusalem, officially the United Nurses of Nurusalem (UNN), is the world’s first digital nation established exclusively for nurses. It exists to unite nurses worldwide under a common professional purpose and governance framework, and to provide a structured digital nation through which the service, dignity, and contribution of nurses to humanity are formally recognised.
Guided by its digital government and strengthened by its citizens, Nurusalem works to advance nursing education, promote safe and equitable career pathways, and enable professional opportunities that extend beyond national borders. Through structured systems of recognition, development, collaboration, and global engagement, it ensures that nurses are represented, supported, and empowered within a unified digital nation.
Nurusalem is a digital professional nation established with a clear and defined purpose. It is dedicated to uplifting nurses, strengthening healthcare systems, and redefining how the nursing profession is recognized, valued, and supported worldwide, without claiming territorial sovereignty in any country.
Nurusalem traces its origins to the global circumstances of the COVID-19 crisis in 2020, which exposed both the critical importance and systemic challenges faced by nurses worldwide. In response, a vision emerged for a digital nation dedicated to the recognition, empowerment, and long term advancement of nurses, with the aim of strengthening global healthcare for humanity.
Unite nurses worldwide through governance, recognition, and collaboration.
Help nations to overcome the global nursing shortage and inspire new professionals.
Build a better future for humanity through empowered nurses and stronger care systems.
The Government of Nurusalem leads the world’s first digital professional nation for nurses through structure, vision, and accountability.
(During the launch and formation phase, Nurusalem operates under an interim governance structure designed to ensure stability, oversight, and institutional development.)

Nurses are the largest and most essential workforce in healthcare, yet they remain globally fragmented. They work across borders, systems, and crises without a unified professional structure that represents, supports, and connects them worldwide. Nurusalem, The United Nurses of Nurusalem (UNN), is a professional digital nation created for nurses. It does not replace or interfere with any country’s nationality, citizenship, passport, or immigration status. Nurusalem fully respects and follows the laws, regulations, and governance frameworks of every country in which nurses live and work.
Nurusalem is not formed to compete with nursing organizations, nursing councils, or regulatory bodies. Its role is to support, coordinate, and complement existing institutions by strengthening collaboration, ethical practice, professional identity, workforce sustainability, and global cooperation for better healthcare. This is not a political or territorial nation. It is a professional nation built to organize nurses globally, provide a shared identity and voice, and work in alignment with national systems for the advancement of nursing and the improvement of healthcare worldwide.
